3 Reasons Why AEW Might Target Dolph Ziggler After His Shocking Release From WWE

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Dolph Ziggler was recently let go by WWE. He was one of several wrestlers released today by the company. Ziggler, a 43-year-old wrestling veteran, was last seen on WWE Raw’s May 29 episode, where his match against JD McDonagh ended in a double count-out. So far, he has not made any public statements about his departure.

Ziggler first joined WWE in 2004 as part of the Spirit Squad under the name Nicky. After the Spirit Squad disbanded in 2006, he spent time in the developmental territory before adopting a new persona and moving up to the main roster in 2008. Since then, Ziggler has been a consistent presence on WWE programming and is considered one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the company’s history.

Some of his achievements include two World Heavyweight Championships, an NXT Championship, two United States Championships, six Intercontinental Championships, a SmackDown Tag Team Championship, two Raw Tag Team Championships, a World Tag Team Championship, and a Money in the Bank victory.

Now, let’s explore three reasons why AEW might be interested in signing him following his release from WWE:

3) He brings extensive experience to their roster.

At 43 years old, Ziggler’s veteran experience could provide valuable depth to AEW’s roster. As a former World Champion, he could serve as a leader and mentor to many wrestlers in AEW’s vast roster.

2) AEW lacks star power in their current lineup.

Ziggler not only offers experience but also star power and popularity. He is known for his exceptional technical wrestling skills and has consistently been a fan favorite in WWE, whether playing a heroic or villainous role. His presence on the screen always draws attention.

1) Family ties in AEW.

Ziggler’s brother, Ryan Nemeth, is already part of AEW. This connection might increase the likelihood of Ziggler joining AEW, benefiting both of their careers. They could potentially form a great tag team or engage in compelling storylines, even if they become rivals. Ziggler’s presence in AEW after leaving WWE seems probable due to this family connection.

Dolph Ziggler’s release from WWE was surprising to many fans, but his talent and experience make him a valuable asset to any wrestling company. Where would you like to see Dolph Ziggler continue his career now that he’s been released? Share your thoughts in the comments.
