3 Records That WWE NXT No Mercy 2023 Created

1 years ago By Sports Desk

The WWE NXT No Mercy event in 2023 was truly spectacular. It kicked off with an intense singles match and featured two significant title changes. Dominik Mysterio lost his championship, while Ilja Dragunov emerged as the new NXT Champion. The main event saw Becky Lynch causing chaos and winning a dangerous title match. In this article, we’ll delve into the highlights of NXT No Mercy. Let’s get started:

3) All Active NXT Titles Were Defended

One of the noteworthy achievements of NXT No Mercy was that it marked the first time in a long while that all the active titles in NXT were defended. This included the World Championship, the Mid Card Championship, the Women’s Championship, and even the Tag Team Championship. Additionally, the Heritage Cup was also up for grabs after a months-long tournament to determine the rightful challenger. So, every championship and cup found its place in NXT No Mercy 2023.

2) Major Names from the Main Roster Made Appearances

For the first time, three prominent WWE main roster superstars, including Baron Corbin, Dominik from the Judgment Day Stable, and Becky Lynch, participated in an NXT PPV. Baron Corbin had an incredible match, Dominik defended his NXT North American Championship (though he lost it and returned to the main roster), and Becky Lynch defended her NXT Women’s Championship in the main event.

1) Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton Set a WWE Record

At NXT No Mercy, Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton battled for the NXT Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules Match, making it the main event of the evening. Their performance was outstanding, earning praise from both the live audience and fans online. Lynch and Stratton skillfully used weapons and props to keep the fans thoroughly entertained.

However, their achievement went beyond just a great match. Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton made history by becoming the first pair of women in over 900 days to headline a Premium Live Event in WWE. The last time such an accolade was achieved was at WrestleMania 37 when Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

These are the three significant records set at WWE NXT No Mercy this year. Share Your thoughts in the comments below.
