WWE Raw Result And Report For September 18th: Highlights, Match Ratings, Winners And Losers

2 years ago By Jhon Woug

WWE Raw this week takes us to Salt Lake City, Utah, where at the Delta Centre, 20000 strong rejoice upon the journey to Fastlane. A lot is on the line as Superstars look to book their tickets for Crown Jewel by making maximum impact on the show. Leading the charge was none other than Dominik Mysterio, whose habit of punching above his weight saw him go one-on-one with Cody Rhodes in what the Judgement Day did make their presence felt. Here’s all the action that took place on this week’s edition of Raw:

  1. Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio

Dirty Dom had some homework to do before his clash with Dragon Lee for the NXT North American Championship next week on Raw. The Judgement Day member put up a good fight against veteran Cody Rhodes but fell short after Cody Rhodes hit the Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes to pick up the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

  1. Kofi Kingston vs. Ivar

In what was a closely fought match between two evenly matched Superstars, Kofi Kingston emerged victorious as he showed resilience and courage to beat Ivar. Kofi surprisingly kicked out of a moonsault and hit trouble in paradise to pick up the victory.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

  1. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ricochet

Shinsuke Nakamura was in the headlines again as he picked up a DQ victory over high-flyer Ricochet. The match didn’t take long to finish, as a freaked-out Nakamura bought a chair only for it to be used by Ricochet, which the ref noticed and reasonably penalised Ricochet for.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

  1. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven vs. Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler

What was turning into a 5-star match was stopped due to a statement made by Nia Jax. Nia Jax took out Green and Piper Niven like they were sacks of potatoes. A Samoan drop and a running Senton got the team of Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler disqualified.

Winner: Chelsea Green and Piper Niven

  1. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed just announced himself on the big stage, making easy and early work out of former Olympian Chad Gable. Chad Gable put up a fight but was almost knocked out cold with a tsunami by a man almost twice his size. The Aussie is now impatiently waiting for a title opportunity.

Winner: Bronson Ree

  1. Becky Lynch vs. Natalya

This match was for the women’s championship. The champion Becky Lynch knows her rival Natalya inside and out. They two have bad blood right from their early days. Becky saw this match as her first title defense after beating Tiffany Stratton. As is the case with Natalya, she came up short and The Man penalised upon that.

Winner – Becky Lynch

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Giovanni Vinci

Giovanni Vinci took on the sleek Tommaso Ciampa with Ludwig Kaiser in his corner. Kaiser had Ciampa distracted all throughout the match, but the veteran used his instincts to pick up the victory over Giovanni Vince via a Sicilian strike.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso

Drew McIntyre not winning at Clash at the Castle was pretty much boiled down to the Usos, mainly Jey. Jey Uso took control early on with two suicide drives to McIntyre. He looked to seal it with the Samoan Drop, but McIntyre kicked out in two. McIntyre got back to his kick after he delivered a vicious spine-buster to Jey Uso. Uso saw himself at the receiving end of a Claymore that did the job for The Scottish Warrior.

Winner: Drew McIntyre
