Will The Rock Participate In The Elimination Chamber 2024?

2 years ago By Sports Desk

WWE is in a hot moment like it hasn’t been seen since the end of the “Ruthless Aggression Era.” And just like during that stage, it seeks to take its great events to all possible markets. Although due to the passion of the followers and the not-too-frequent visits of WWE, there are countries that ensure profitability, whether or not the McMahon Empire is going through a particular “honeymoon.” This is the case of Australia, which as we learned last week, will host the next PPV of Elimination Chamber on February 24.

Far from what was seen seven months ago, when WWE held this event in Canada, Elimination Chamber 2024 will occupy an entire stadium, the Optus Stadium, located in the city of Perth, with a capacity for more than 60,000 spectators. The Elimination Chamber had never had a stage of such proportions.

The Australian “hype”

The news is having quite an impact in Australia at a “mainstream” level, to the point that The West Australian outlet puts some speculation on the table.

“The current world champion, Roman Reigns, has been holding the title for more than 1000 days. And it has long been theorized that only The Rock — who comes from the same Samoan family as Reigns — is big enough as a superstar to take the belt from the current champion.

“Adding to the speculation is the fact that WWE was recently sold to Endeavor. There are many signs that the company, which also owns the UFC, wants his first WrestleMania in charge to be an absolute spectacle.”

“As a result, it is said that The Rock could fight in Perth in the Elimination Chamber in February, on the way to WrestleMania to face Reign two months later. “It would be one of the greatest fights of all time.” Let’s get into the game and assume that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is closed for WrestleMania 40, after “The Great One” suggested it days ago. Does involvement within the “Elimination Chamber” seem necessary to justify his starting opportunity? Grayson Waller thinks not.

“Don’t be an idiot and try to come to Australia, Dwayne, we want you to be okay in April”.

The Rock has never competed in an Elimination Chamber, although he has been part of an instalment of the eponymous PPV when back in 2013, he successfully defended the WWE Championship against CM Punk.
