AEW Rampage Preview And Prediction: When And Where To Watch In USA & India – 01st December 2023

10 months ago By Sports Desk

AEW Rampage airs every Friday night at 10 pm ET on TNT, serving as AEW’s secondary weekly wrestling program after their flagship show Dynamite on Wednesdays. Rampage is available to stream on Eurosport in India on Saturday mornings and airs across Canada on TSN’s platforms. It also broadcasts live on FITE TV with an AEW Plus subscription.

This week’s episode originates from Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Target Center, which has its own rich pro wrestling history. In February 2000, WCW ran a major Monday Nitro event here that saw only one title change hands – the chaotic WCW Hardcore Championship. Over 20 years later, today’s show looks to make some headlines of its own.

Months after his attempted curse backfired and forced him off TV, the popular grappler Danhausen makes his in-ring return, teaming with Orange Cassidy, Hook and Trent Beretta to take on Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Alex Reynolds and John Silver – collectively known as The Ass Boys.

This weird rivalry began when Danhausen tried to curse Menard and Parker. But the spell didn’t work, instead seeming to give them good fortune, while Danhausen disappeared shortly after. Now he teams with the colorful Best Friends crew for revenge. However, Angelo seems more concerned with courting Ruby Soho, claiming she’s his soulmate. Will he stay focused? Can Danhausen overcome the botched curse to defeat the Ass Boys quartet? Expect comedy, chaos and costumes galore.

With teammates Rey Fenix injured and PAC trapped overseas, Penta El Zero Miedo has recruited AAA wrestlers Komander and El Hijo del Vikingo to form a high-flying lucha trio. They get an early test on Rampage against three members of The Work Horsemen faction – Anthony Henry, JD Drake and surprise teammate Brian Cage. The technical style of Henry and Drake contrasts sharply with the fast-paced lucha show Penta’s team will likely display.

Meanwhile, Cage is desperate to impress as a mercenary for hire after struggling since departing Team Taz earlier this year. If he fails to mesh with The Work Horsemen’s scientific in-ring work, it could be another setback. Ultimately, Penta and company should have too much quickness and aerial artistry for Henry, Drake and the struggling powerhouse Cage to overcome. But it provides an interesting clash of wrestling styles.

In trios action from the women’s division, Ruby Soho teams with edgy British star Saraya and former Jericho Appreciation Society member Anna Jay against an accomplished trio of former champions – Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and rising rookie Skye Blue. The opposing sides here couldn’t be more different.

Ruby and her Outcasts allies rely on underhanded tactics and rule-breaking to win matches through any means necessary. By contrast, Alien enthusiast Statlander, Japanese legend Shida and plucky upstart Blue represent the pure babyfaces just trying to get wins the right way. All three are also looking to rebound after recent championship losses.

And given Ruby’s romantic aspirations with Angelo Parker, he’ll likely be ringside here rooting her on. But will his support, or lack thereof, make a difference? Will The Outcasts’ sneaky ways overcome three of AEW’s most talented women hungry to get back on track? This one should steal the show.

In the night’s final Trios bout, the dastardly Don Callis Family team of Powerhouse Hobbs, Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher take on three mystery opponents yet to be revealed. After a pair of brutal singles clashes recently, Hobbs and Takeshita now join forces with the ruthless Aussie Fletcher, whose chopping strikes make him one dangerous foe.

This dominant trio of heels should defeat whichever babyfaces answer the open challenge this Friday night. But speculation will run rampant all week on who might step up to face them. Could we see the returns of Sting and Darby Allin to aid Darby’s mentor Dustin Rhodes? Maybe Claudio Castagnoli comes back with SOLO AEW reinforcements? No matter who shows up, they’ll have little chance of actually defeating the Callis Family trio.

Those are the key matches in store this Friday night as AEW Rampage provides wrestling fans with an hour of chaotic fun. With Danhausen’s mischievous return, a new AAA lucha trio’s debut, the next chapter in Ruby and Angelo’s odd romantic pursuits, and mystery opponents facing a savage heel group – this show promises plenty of excitement. Be sure to tune into TNT this Friday at 10 pm ET to catch all the wild action!
