Canelo Alvarez Set To Part Ways With PBC; Likely Opponents For May And September Unveiled

7 months ago By Jhon Woug

As a Mexican boxer, Canelo Alvarez, who is linked to the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), will reportedly be putting an end to this partnership. This is the news that came as a big surprise. From the very beginning, Alvarez had already made a decision to fight Billy Joe Saunders next for the PBC fight deal, which was made public by the middleweight champion in June of last year. According to ESPN and boxing specialist Dan Rafael, Brian left his PBC only one battle later.

His 60-2-2 record, which includes 39 knockouts, has earned him the title of world number one in the super middleweight division. He was impressed by his great exhibition against Jermell Charlo, which pointed him to the elite of our sports. Fans weigh what could be waiting for him after the ring breaks off for him at PBC.

The exit of the PBC’s Alvarez has sparked questions, with his comeback being planned for the series of festivities around the Cinco de Mayo weekend in May. When leaving PBC, he didn’t only have more than one option of opponent for his coming fight but also chose the better ones too. It is difficult to pinpoint the precise reasons for which the champion has decided to terminate the contract with PBC. Mr. Haymon often shies away from having lengthy conversations with mediapersons, thus continuing to leave his fans with no scoop on this story.

Here, the fans of Canelo were holding their breath as he faced his rivals like Benavidze or Crawford. Moreover, rumour has it that the opposition is Munguia, who was at one time a 154-pound champion having a joint promotion with Golden Boy and Zanfer Promotions and who also fights in DAZN.

Alvarez and Munguia would share the triumphal march of differences, but they also have the potential to become Hearn Team Sports promoters again, having met with Eddie Hearn. Match-up with Hearn’s signed Alvarez fighter for six out of their past eight fights. Another name of a 17-year-old boxer representing him in 2024 is Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs).

Through the rise of Berlanga’s fame in the sport, Alvarez is invited to relive the glorious battles between “Mexico vs. Puerto Rico.” The prospect of a duel between two experienced boxers capable of attracting great attention sounds too appetising for fans to miss out on, who will certainly add their weight to the sales of the match, followed by potentially enormous revenue.

Although Alvarez’s PBC departure might have appeared to be unexpected to some, the world of sports is always changing. PBC just signed a remarkable multi-year partnership agreement with Amazon Prime and commences their 2024 agenda with an exhilarating pay-per-view event in Las Vegas on March 8th, featuring Keith Thurman and Tim Tszyu.

Laeven Alvarez, who has now reached the age of 33, dropped those perceptions with his successful handdown to Charlo for him. Even though previously he lost his light heavyweight title to Dmitry Bivol and secured no more than two decision wins in his consecutive fights against the well-known middleweight title holders Gennadiy Golovkin and John Ryder, Alvarez proved that he still is nothing less than a powerful force that can’t be ignored in the ring.

Múnguia is not only the crowd favourite, but he is also becoming known for his exemplary defence and winning the hearts of other fighters along the way. Thanks to the guidance of legendary coach Freddie Roach, Munguia was able to achieve two noteworthy triumphs: The slender margin of a win against the former contender for the title, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, by a decision contest became the main appealing fact about their recent outing, and precisely the blowing of his lights out with a devastating 9th round knockout of John Ryder.

The boxer who will fight GGG will be named a bit later, but the World Champion in four categories, Canelo Alvarez, and the young and very promising boxer from Mexico, Jaime Munguia, may get to deal each other a winning blow while having the fight of their lives. Fight fans shall not miss a negative crown fight culminating with a clash between the two undefeated and knockout punching boxers wearing fire caps due to being crazed with interest and rivalry.

Avarez Alvarez keeps terribly ignorant of the possibility of a fight between Riga Aico and Terens Crawford. Milestone one is the time in which the public perceives the information regarding Crawford no longer working with PBC due to the fact that his one-year contract deal has ended. It is only fair to say that such market conditions may make a fight between Ortiz and Mayweather occur, but not at all times may be a possibility for both sides.

The fans of boxing everywhere are presently busy interpreting and manifesting the name of the next contender, Alvarez, and this one has a talented and exceptional performer who always gets the attention of fans because of his enormous talent and skills. What comes to mind is the Munguia or Berlanga clash, for example. Even if he faces unknown opponents, it still doesn’t matter because there will be boxing lovers from all over the world eager to be part of the eventuality.

Thus, remember that in history, often the fans of the arena’s representatives were very emotional, and these matches created not only tension but also a multitude of fantastically beautiful cases.
