Edge’s Most Memorable WWE Match And Dream Opponents

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Edge, a renowned WWE Hall of Famer with a career spanning 31 years, has engaged in numerous wrestling battles against big names in the WWE. In a recent appearance on “WWE’s The Bump,” he shared his most cherished match and discussed potential dream opponents.

Edge’s Unforgettable Match

Edge revealed his most unforgettable match during a rapid-fire Q&A with co-host Kayla Braxton. He expressed that his first main event at WrestleMania 24 against The Undertaker holds a special place in his heart. He described the experience of walking down the ramp, feeling immense excitement that almost numbed his arms.

Desire to Face Current WWE Talent

When asked about contemporary WWE talents he’d like to face for the first time, Edge expressed his interest in stepping into the ring with Matt Riddle and Sami Zayn, one-half of the reigning Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. He also mentioned a couple of legendary wrestlers he wished he could have squared off against.

Dream Opponents: Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin

Edge revealed his desire to face Bret Hart, reminiscing their encounter in an eight-man tag match. However, he envisioned a prime showdown between “Rated-R” Edge and the legendary “Hitman” in an Iron Man match. He also expressed interest in facing a prime “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, envisioning an exciting clash between the two iconic personas.

Past Encounter with Bret Hart

Edge and Bret Hart had only one encounter in a match during a “Raw” episode in 2010. They were on opposing sides, with Edge teaming up with Chris Jericho against Hart and John Cena in a lumberjack match. Unfortunately, the match concluded in a “no contest.”

Uncertain Future for Edge

Reports suggest that Edge’s future in wrestling remains uncertain. Speculations range from him retiring from the ring to possibly joining AEW (All Elite Wrestling) once his current WWE contract expires, which is reported to be at the end of September.

Conclusion

Edge, a wrestling legend, shared his most cherished WWE match and his desire to face both current talents and legendary icons. As his future in wrestling hangs in the balance, fans await to see what’s next for “The Rated-R Superstar.”
