Jon Moxley Becomes New AEW International Champion, Beats Orange Cassidy At All Out

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Jon Moxley made history by defeating Orange Cassidy at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, putting an end to Cassidy’s remarkable AEW International Championship reign. Moxley achieved a historic feat by becoming the first person ever to hold both the AEW World and International Championships. Cassidy’s incredible title run came to a close after an impressive 327 days, during which he successfully defended his title 31 times.

The main event at AEW All Out featured Cassidy defending his AEW International Championship against Jon Moxley, marking one of Cassidy’s toughest challenges to date. Moxley, a three-time AEW World Champion, presented a formidable opponent. Leading up to this match, Cassidy had already defended his AEW International Championship on 31 occasions.

Moxley and Cassidy engaged in an intense match that quickly turned into a brutal showdown. Cassidy suffered a cut early on, and Moxley aggressively targeted the wound, resulting in Cassidy being covered in blood. Despite the injuries he had accumulated during his reign, Cassidy displayed remarkable resilience and managed to land several powerful Orange Punches on Moxley. However, Moxley ultimately secured the victory by delivering a devastating Death Rider, and Cassidy, in a defiant act, flipped him off before being pinned once again by the same move.

Following the match, Cassidy received a well-deserved ovation from the audience. Fans expressed their gratitude with chants of “Thank you, Orange” as AEW All Out concluded.

Orange Cassidy’s impressive championship journey began on October 12, 2022, when he emerged victorious over PAC during an episode of AEW Dynamite. From that point forward, Cassidy’s reign as the AEW International Champion became legendary, as he continually defended his title against a multitude of challengers.

The clash with Jon Moxley at AEW All Out represented a significant milestone in Cassidy’s championship run. Moxley’s status as a three-time AEW World Champion added even more weight to the contest. It was a grueling battle, with Cassidy showing incredible determination and resilience despite the early bloodshed. The crowd’s appreciation for his effort was evident in the heartfelt ovation and chants of “Thank you, Orange” that followed the match’s conclusion.

Jon Moxley, on the other hand, etched his name in the history books by becoming the first wrestler to hold both the AEW World and International Championships simultaneously. This accomplishment solidified Moxley’s place as one of the most dominant forces in AEW’s history.

The clash between Cassidy and Moxley will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the defining moments in AEW’s wrestling landscape. Cassidy’s remarkable championship reign had come to an end, but his legacy as a resilient and entertaining champion was cemented. Meanwhile, Moxley added another chapter to his storied career, solidifying his status as a top-tier talent in the world of professional wrestling.

As the AEW universe continues to witness thrilling encounters and historic moments, the legacy of champions like Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley will remain a vital part of the promotion’s rich tapestry. Their contributions to the world of professional wrestling will be celebrated for years to come.
