Mustafa Ali Regrets For Missing Out WWE Superstars Spectacle In India

2 years ago By Sports Desk

WWE held Superstar Spectacle 2023 this Friday in India, where John Cena joined forces with Seth Rollins against Imperium, in what was the 16-time World Champion’s first match after he lost to Austin Theory in an opportunity for the United States Championship in WrestleMania 39. Curiously, in his more than twenty-year career it was the first time that he fought in that country, and he was quite grateful for that.

► Mustafa Ali has ancestry in India.

Indus Sher (Sanga and Veer), Jinder Mahal, Shanky, who was wrestling again in more than a year, as well as WWE Hall of Famer The Great Khali, appeared at Friday’s Superstar Spectacle show, an event that was the first to take place in that country since 2017 when WWE came to New Delhi, with Triple H and Jinder Mahal headlining the show.

Current NXT superstar Mustafa Ali is of Indian and Pakistani descent and regretted not being able to take part in the Superstar Spectacle event on Friday in Hyderabad, India. Ali posted a message on his Twitter account in response to the Pro Wrestling Finesse account, regarding the fact that it was a surprise that he was not there, despite having had time on television recently. Ali mentioned the conflict between Pakistan and India as the possible reason for his absence.

Surprised that Mustafa Ali was not on the Superstar Spectacle poster. He is the only Indian fighter not to be present. “With all the tension that exists between Pakistan and India, I would have loved to show that a man from both countries can unite us.”

Mustafa Ali defeated Dragon Lee on NXT this Tuesday with the help of a quick count from special guest referee and North American champion Dominik Mysterio and coincidentally will become his challenger for the aforementioned title at NXT No Mercy, which will take place at the end of this month.
