Bron Breakker, the phenomenal talent storming NXT, has proven his prowess as one of the fastest-rising stars in the domain. His recent call-out of Seth Rollins, the former NXT Champion, came as a surprise to many. However, Breakker validated his place in the ring alongside Rollins in a match that left fans reeling.

The NXT landscape is evolving, with main roster stars frequently heading down to face the talent brewing in NXT. In a recent episode, Judgment Day travelled to NXT for an engaging match with Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. Such instances have proven to be major milestones for the NXT talents, facilitating their growth and exposure.

Shawn Michaels Draws Parallels Between Breakker-Rollins Match and His Time with Ric Flair

In an interview with Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, WWE legend Shawn Michaels shed light on how these main roster versus NXT talent matches are nurturing the latter. He drew an interesting comparison between Seth Rollins’ recent bout with Bron Breakker and his early career match with Ric Flair.

Michaels commented on the influx of experienced talent from NXT UK and the independent circuit and their influence on young athletes straight out of college. He emphasized the wealth of knowledge the main roster stars bring to NXT, expounding, “When a main roster person comes down, that’s now seeds of knowledge for them.”

The Ph.D. Night – Breakker Learning from Rollins

Michaels continued, highlighting the importance of getting reps with veterans. “It’s great to be out there getting reps, but a lot of times, if you’re out there with somebody who needs as many reps as you do, you’re still learning, but you’re not going to learn at the rate you are if you’re out there with a Finn Balor, for instance,” he stated.

Drawing a parallel between Breakker’s time with Rollins and his own time with Flair, Michaels elaborated, “You think about Bron Breakker being out there with Seth Rollins, for me, that was like when I was out there very early on with [Ric] Flair, you just take in so much, it’s like getting a PhD in one night.”

In summary, these interactions and matches between main roster stars and emerging NXT talent provide valuable learning experiences, akin to what Shawn Michaels experienced in his match with Ric Flair. As seen in Breakker’s case, these experiences can catalyze growth, propelling young athletes into the spotlight of the WWE universe.
