1 years ago By Jhon Woug

Grayson Waller, also known as Matthew Farrelly, hails from Australia and has become known for his charisma, athleticism, and in-ring skills. Like many WWE superstars, he started his wrestling journey on the independent circuit, honing his craft in smaller promotions before catching the eye of WWE scouts.

During his days on the independent circuit, he was calledthe 21st success story.”

His journey to WWE included training at the WWE Performance Centre, where aspiring wrestlers undergo rigorous training to prepare for the demands of WWE’s intense schedule.

WWE fans have witnessed the rise of numerous talents who began as relative unknowns but climbed the ranks through hard work, dedication, and captivating performances. To make an impact in WWE, Waller needed to create a unique persona and character that resonated with the audience. Whether he embraced a heroic or villainous role, the ability to connect with fans through storytelling and compelling matches was crucial.

Debut match:

On March 14, 2021, it was reported that Farrelly had inked a contract with WWE. His WWE debut occurred on the June 11 episode of 205 Live, when he adopted the ring name Grayson Waller and secured a victory against Sunil Singh. On the September 28 episode of NXT, Waller challenged Roderick Strong for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, but he was unsuccessful in capturing the title.

At NXT Deadline, Waller emerged victorious in the inaugural Iron Survivor Challenge, earning the status of the number one contender for Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship. The highly anticipated championship clash was scheduled for NXT: New Year’s Evil, set for January 10, 2023. However, the match took an unexpected turn when the middle rope snapped, causing Waller to tumble out of the ring and be counted out, allowing Breakker to retain his championship.

As part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Waller transitioned to the SmackDown brand. His SmackDown debut transpired on May 19, 2023, as he conducted an interview with AJ Styles on “The Grayson Waller Effect. Things escalated at Money in the Bank when Waller interrupted the returning John Cena, resulting in a confrontation in the ring.

First match on the main roster:

Waller’s debut on the main roster occurred on July 7, when he faced off against Edge. This marked his first match since sustaining a broken leg in his final NXT bout back in April. Waller had recently been cleared to compete, and the announcement of this match came during his “Grayson Waller Effect” talk show with Edge. Standing at an imposing 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 205 pounds, Waller posed a formidable challenge to the WWE Hall of Famer, Edge, who had just celebrated his 25th anniversary since his WWE debut. The match’s climax witnessed Waller attempting a leap into the ring, aiming for a stunner, but Edge countered with a spear, securing the pinfall victory.

Success and Net Worth:

Waller has a good social media following, with over 70.1k followers on Instagram and 31.4k followers on Twitter. With an estimated net worth of approximately $3.5 million at present, Waller’s financial fortunes are on the rise, hinting at the potential for even greater wealth in the near future. Grayson Waller’s WWE journey serves as a testament to his exceptional talent and unwavering determination within the fiercely competitive world of professional wrestling, paralleling the paths of numerous WWE legends who transformed their dreams into stardom within the squared circle.
