WWE SmackDown Preview And Prediction: When And Where To Watch In USA & India – 17th November 2023

8 months ago By Sports Desk

This Friday night, wrestling fans are gearing up for an electrifying new episode of WWE SmackDown. The show airs live on November 17 from the Ford Center Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. With the Survivor Series 2023 pay-per-view just a week away, WWE is swiftly working to finalize match cards. This week’s SmackDown promises to feature some big bout bookings for the upcoming event.

A major highlight will be the high-stakes showdown between LA Knight and Jimmy Uso. This intense rivalry began at WWE Crown Jewel. There, Jimmy Uso played a key role in spoiling Knight’s championship hopes against Roman Reigns. Looking for payback, last week on SmackDown Knight challenged Jimmy Uso to a match. Uso accepted the challenge. Now their clash is set as this week’s marquee main event segment. This promises hard hitting action and high drama. Many are curious how this bout will unfold. There is speculation that the match may end with no winner. This is because Solo Sikoa may get involved and attack Knight. As Jimmy Uso’s cousin, Sikoa could help Uso by ganging up on Knight. If this happens, it could set off a dramatic sequence of events. AJ Styles may return to save Knight from the 2-on-1 attack. Or Knight could fend off both men himself. This could prompt Knight to challenge Solo Sikoa to a 1-on-1 match at Survivor Series. Either way, outside interference could shape new feuds and alliances.

With major title implications and personal pride on the line, LA Knight and Jimmy Uso will hold nothing back. Their issues erupted at Crown Jewel when Uso foiled Knight’s championship pursuit. Now in this marquee main event, both men have something to prove. It promises to be an explosive encounter filled with drama. The outcome could influence storylines headed into Survivor Series.

Another major segment will see the return of Solo Sikoa, who will be accompanied by Paul Heyman. This marks Sikoa’s first appearance on SmackDown since attacking John Cena at Crown Jewel. No doubt Paul Heyman will use this platform to boast about that incident.

Expect Heyman to give a grand introduction highlighting Sikoa’s dominance against Cena. He will likely warn about the consequences for anyone who dares to cross The Bloodline. Heyman’s promo skills will emphasize the faction’s supremacy in WWE.

This will set the stage for LA Knight to interrupt Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. After losing his title match thanks to The Bloodline’s interference, Knight is seeking payback. He will confront Sikoa and remind him about the events at Crown Jewel.

Knight may accuse Sikoa of needing help from The Usos and Roman Reigns to make an impact. This could lead to Knight challenging Sikoa to a one-on-one match at Survivor Series. Knight will want the opportunity to prove he can defeat Sikoa without outside factors coming into play.

The tense exchange on the mic between LA Knight and Solo Sikoa will add fuel to this brewing rivalry. It may plant the seeds for a first-time-ever collision between the two at Survivor Series. With Paul Heyman adding his verbal barbs too, this promises to be a dramatic sequence fans won’t want to miss.

Adding humor and arrogance to SmackDown will be the segment featuring Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. These two are likely to mock the suspended Kevin Owens following last week’s attack. They will boast about getting Owens suspended and claim he got what he deserved.

This overconfidence could backfire when the SmackDown General Manager interrupts them. He will remind Theory and Waller that their actions have consequences. In response, he may book a match between Austin Theory and Kevin Owens at Survivor Series. This would allow Owens to get payback against Theory on the big stage in Chicago.

The GM could position the match as an opportunity for Theory to back up his words against an enraged Owens. Theory’s celebration will be short-lived when the reality of facing Owens sets in. This match announcement would add more fuel to the rivalry between Owens and Theory.

The women’s division will also continue building towards a huge WarGames clash. Last week, Asuka and Kairi Sane joined forces with Damage CTRL. This expanded the heel faction into a dominant five-person unit. They overwhelmed Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair in the main event.

This week, Flair and Belair may even the odds by bringing in allies of their own. Expect superstars like Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to come to their aid. This will spark another massive brawl with both sides seeking to send a message.

Eventually, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis will arrive with security and referees. They will attempt to restore order in the chaos. Once the scene settles down, Aldis will likely announce a WarGames Match between the two teams. This will give them a sanctioned environment to settle their rivalry at Survivor Series.

The WarGames stipulation favors Damage CTRL’s numbers advantage. However, it also allows Flair and Belair to legally bring in more partners. This unique double-cage match is known historically for brutality and bloodshed. There is no doubt these fierce women will look to tear each other apart inside the intimidating steel structure.

With championship opportunities also potentially on the line, the stakes make this one of the most hotly anticipated confrontations. The ongoing brawl on SmackDown will add more animosity to what is already a heated rivalry. By the end, it should be clear that a dangerous collision inside WarGames awaits at Survivor Series.

For fans in the United States, SmackDown will air live on Peacock at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. Meanwhile, Indian audiences can tune in to Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 channels at 6:30 AM IST on Saturday. Fans in Europe can watch SmackDown on TNT Sport. Wherever you are in the world, you can witness the action and excitement of SmackDown’s stops on the road to Survivor Series.
