John Fury Blasts Francis Ngannou’s Boxing Skills After Open Workout Session

2 years ago By Sports Desk

John Fury recently slammed Francis Ngannou’s boxing skills after observing the Cameroonian training at the open workouts. It seems Tyson Fury’s legendary father wasn’t impressed at all with what he saw and hoped it was a joke.

Ngannou showcased his boxing skills in his first open workout ahead of his professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury. The two heavyweights are set to clash in the squared circle on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the open workout session in Las Vegas, Francis Ngannou was alongside boxing legend Mike Tyson. However, even that didn’t impress John Fury.

The outspoken personality of John Fury is well-known among boxing fans, and it’s part of what makes him unique. While John Fury has often been accused of being too unfiltered for the 21st century, the 59-year-old is rarely swayed by public opinion. It’s unsurprising, then, to see John Fury speak his mind about what he saw from Ngannou.

Taking to Instagram, John Fury lambasted Francis Ngannou’s skills and expressed no worry about his son losing. He jokingly hoped that Ngannou wasn’t trolling him and saving his real skills for the ring. However, if Ngannou was indeed serious, then Tyson Fury is getting his quickest knockout. John Fury further added that he was embarrassed to see Francis Ngannou hit the pads. He also questioned the Cameroonian’s intentions behind putting on the dismal display in a public workout.

Ngannou, aged 37, and Fury, 35, are scheduled to face off in a 10-round heavyweight boxing match next month. Interestingly, Fury’s WBC title will not be on the line. However, the boxing match will count on both fighters’ official records. This means ‘The Predator’ could become the first boxer to hand ‘The Gypsy King’ his first loss on his record.

However, fans can only wait and watch to see whether Ngannou’s punching power comes in handy.
