3 Talking Points From Tonight’s Episode Of WWE NXT – 28th November 2023

World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) NXT brand delivered another action-packed episode last night that has left fans buzzing. Airing every Tuesday night, NXT provides a platform for WWE’s rising talent to showcase their skills and build momentum. The November 28th edition was filled with hard-hitting bouts, dramatic moments, and surprises that advanced key storylines. Here we break down 3 major talking points from the show.

The first highlight was the NXT Tag Team Championship match between reigning titleholders Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and the challengers Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. Garza and Carrillo came out aggressive, ambushing the champs during their entrance to get an early advantage. However, D’Angelo and Lorenzo weathered the initial onslaught before turning the tide. The champions isolated Carrillo and wore him down with frequent tags and double team maneuvers. D’Angelo eventually planted Carrillo with their devastating finishing maneuver, the Bada Bing Bada Boom, to get the pinfall victory. This successful title defense for D’Angelo and Lorenzo reinforced their dominance over NXT’s tag team division.

Another pivotal moment was Bron Breakker defeating Eddy Thorpe in an Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying match. The powerhouse Breakker imposed his will early, overpowering Thorpe around ringside before throwing him back into the ring for high-impact slams and suplexes. Though Thorpe showed heart, Breakker was simply too much. He put Thorpe away after a thunderous spear, earning a spot in the upcoming 5-man Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. This match demonstrated why the former NXT Champion Breakker is considered among the brand’s most devastating competitors. His combination of strength, speed and wrestling ability make him a threat to win any match.

The main event delivered in shocking fashion as 4 men battled to become the new #1 contender for the NXT Championship. Wes Lee, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed and Cameron Grimes all got opportunities to shine in this fast and furious fatal 4-way contest. As the closing moments built towards a climax, the 400-pound Reed looked poised to claim the win. But in a stunning turn of events, his rival Ivar from WWE’s Raw roster ran in and took Reed out with a body attack. This surprise interference paved the way for the high-flying Lee to capitalize. After hitting his spectacular finisher, the Kardiak Kick, on Grimes, Lee scored the victory to become the new #1 contender. He will now go on to challenge newly crowned NXT Champion Dominik Mysterio at NXT Deadline on December 10th. This twist sets up a fresh championship feud that fans are already invested in.

Last night’s NXT delivered intensity, drama and surprises that have fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter. The action-packed show provided plenty of highlights, but the title defense by D’Angelo and Lorenzo, Bron Breakker’s dominant qualifying match victory, and Wes Lee becoming #1 contender were the 3 biggest talking points.
