5 Best Moments From UFC In November 2023

1 years ago By Jhon Woug

Three thrilling UFC events took place in Sao Paulo, New York City, and Las Vegas, respectively, during November 2023. The 37 fights that these fighters engaged in definitely left their everlasting stains on the canvas with amazing, explosive knockouts and mind-blowing submissions, respectively. Let’s have a look at five great UFC moments from November 2023.

  1. Breakout Performance: Benoit Saint-Denis, Now in the Limelight

No doubt, the breakout player for the month was Benoit Saint Denis, a 28-year-old French lightweight whose performance can be seen in UFC 295. Denis arrived in the octagon via four straight wins, resulting on all occasions in victory by way of KO. Nevertheless, it was his 91-second demolishing job on Matt Frevola, during which he fought in New York City, that did it for him!

Saint Denis stands out because he is menacing. Striding ahead without any inhibition, swallowing bullets in order to fire some back himself until they have given up against an opponent so determined. In Frevola’s defeat, he recorded his fifth straight victory inside the division, bringing him back onto the list of contenders. Saint Denis is indeed one fighter not to mess with, as he had won all three fights this year before going to the third round in 2024.

Honourable Mentions: Vitor Petrino, Elves Brener, Jeka Saragih, Joanderson Brito, Payton Talbott, and Chase Hooper

  1. Submission of the Month: Joanderson Brito’s Opportunistic Triumph

Joanderson’s victory over Jonathan will dominate the world of submission at UFC Vegas 82. Midway through the second round, Brito realised he was caught in a difficult position. In control of their grappling, Pearce teased Brito, who replied quickly using a ninja choke.

It was obvious that Brito was dangerous at any time. This win led Brito’s four wins in a row while bringing Pearce’s victories down to five. Tubarao’, or the 28-year-old Brazilian, may also be subjected to the rankings of the UFC’s light weight division, showing the unpredictability of this sport.

Honourable Mentions: Mateusz Rebecki vs. Roosevelt Roberts; Myktybek Orolbai vs. Uros Medic; Chase Hooper vs. Jordan Leavitt, Brendan Allen vs. Paul Craig

  1. Knockout of the Month: Tom Aspinall’s Heavyweight Statement

There was a change of guard in the heavyweight division, with Tom Aspinall grabbing the Knockout of the Month at UFC 295. The technical ability of Apsinall was on display when he faced a fierce opponent known as Sergei Pavlovich, who had stopped his last six opponents within the first round. By avoiding a strong shot from Pavlovich, Aspinell returned the favour and secured interim UFC heavyweight champion status.

The fact that Aspinall did a perfect job and remained resistant is what made his knockout exceptional. Having taken it clean from Pavlovich, Aspinall adjusted and returned it with interest, showing his capacity to be either a good kickboxer or a crafty wrestler. Winning at his age is just an indication that Aspinall could be with us for a long time.

Honourable Mentions: Vitor Petrino vs. Modestas Bukauskas, Elves Brener vs. Kaynan Kruschewsky, Jared Gordon vs. Mark Madsen, Diego Lopes vs. Pat Sabatini, Saint-Denis vs. Matt Frevola, Jessica Andrade vs. Mackenzie Dern, and Saragih vs. Lucas Alexander

  1. Fight of the Month: Fakhretdinov vs. Dos Santos Thrills Sao Paulo

The fight of the month went down at UFC Sao Paulo, where Rinat Fakhretdinov and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos provided us with an epic welterweight duel! An initial thrill was created by Fakhretdinov, who knocked out Dos Santos in 20 seconds of round one, giving the audience something to talk about even before the main event had started.

Dos Santos, a tough and crafty boxer, made a comeback and won in the last round of the match. Fakhredtinov’s early pace did not continue, leaving a gap that Dos Santos jumped into and filled up with furious counterattacks. It was a symmetrical fight that turned out to be a majority draw, giving satisfaction to both fighters and their supporters.

Honourable Mentions: The matches include Dalby versus Bonfim of the Nicholaus and Van versus Borajs of the Joshwua, among others.

  1. The UFC Landscape: A Month in Review

However, other outstanding performances that were exhibited by various other fighters in the UFC during this month prove that the UFC possessed a lot of talent. The fighters came prepared with their As from Sao Paulo to Madison Square Garden and Las Vegas, which saw over half of the fights ending within the distance.

The month gave an overlook to the potential upcoming champions of the UFC and the new rising stars. The narrations of up-and-coming fighters, wielders of submission, knock-out artists, and compelling bouts in the closing chapters of 2023, as the Octagon moves on, will continue to leave their fan base on “toe.”

The fighters had it in their hearts, skills, and courage to fight till they had their last breath for a month-long bout in November 2023 and were part of what made UFC one of the world’s greatest shows. The curtain finally draws as the UFC wraps up another year with their top moments of the month.
