1 years ago By Sports Desk

Professional wrestling fans around the world were eagerly awaiting the AEW Rampage episode for September 15, 2023, and they were not disappointed. The show, which was taped in Cincinnati, OH, right after Dynamite on Wednesday, featured high-octane matches, dramatic twists, and an energy that only AEW can deliver. For those of you who were not fortunate enough to attend the live taping or are just itching for a recap, we have all the spoilers from the show.

The night was announced with a much-anticipated rematch between Kris Statlander and Jade Cargill for the TBS Women’s Championship. Both women have previously demonstrated their skills, resilience, and passion in the ring, and this time was no different. The two fierce competitors took to the mat, with Statlander emerging victorious, retaining her AEW TBS Women’s Championship. After an intense face-off, both fighters showed a moment of mutual respect, giving the audience a reminder that wrestling is as much about camaraderie and sportsmanship as it is about rivalry.

In addition to the exhilarating women’s match, the evening saw The Acclaimed teaming up with Billy Gunn for trios action. Max Caster & Anthony Bowens, known for their charisma, joined forces with the veteran Billy Gunn. Together, they faced the unique team of Peter Avalon & The Outrunners, comprising Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd. It was a roller-coaster of a match, with both teams pulling off stunning maneuvers and keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. In the end, The Acclaimed and Gunn came out on top. But the celebrations were short-lived. Just when they thought they had a moment to relish their victory, Dark Order, consisting of Evil Uno, John Silver & Alex Reynolds, stormed the ring, challenging The Acclaimed to a title match. The gauntlet has been thrown, and the match is now set for AEW Collision this week.

The tag team action did not stop there. The Kingdom, comprising Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, squared off against the formidable duo of Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal. Both teams have showcased their impeccable teamwork and wrestling acumen in the past, and this was another chapter in their storied rivalry. The Kingdom ultimately prevailed, adding another victory to their impressive resume.

However, one of the most electrifying moments of the evening came from the 8-man tag team match that featured a unique blend of veteran wrestlers and dynamic new talents. The Hardys and Lucha Bros teamed up to take on a quartet of The Butcher & The Blade and Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal. Every one of these wrestlers is known for their distinctive wrestling styles and personas, and seeing them in one ring was a treat for the fans. In a whirlwind of moves, counters, high-flying acrobatics, and sheer wrestling prowess, The Lucha Bros & The Hardys clinched a victory.

The event also showcased the Aussie Open, with Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis proving their mettle against Lord Crewe & Damian Chambers in another tag team match. It was a powerful display of talent, strategy, and coordination, with the Aussie Open walking away with a well-deserved win.

The September 15, 2023, episode of AEW Rampage delivered everything that fans have come to expect from the promotion – a blend of old-school wrestling storytelling, new-age athleticism, and moments that will be etched in the annals of wrestling history. Each match told its own story, and as the narratives unfolded, the crowd responded with undying enthusiasm.

In a world of professional wrestling where the landscape is continually evolving, AEW Rampage has solidified its position as a premier destination for fans seeking the perfect mix of action, drama, and unpredictability. This episode was yet another testament to that commitment, promising more thrills and unforgettable moments in the future.
