Jimmy Hart Discusses Possibly Replacing Paul Heyman as Roman Reigns’ Manager

Paul Heyman

In the ever-evolving world of professional wrestling, personalities can change as frequently as wrestling holds. Recently, one of the most buzzed-about topics in WWE circles is whether Jimmy Hart could replace Paul Heyman as Roman Reigns’ manager. Hart finally addresses these rumours, providing a fresh perspective on this ongoing speculation.

Paul Heyman, the long-time manager and Special Counsel to the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, has never been shy of sharing his thoughts. Before the much-anticipated SummerSlam 2023, both Reigns and Heyman appeared on Stephen A. Smith’s First Take. In what came as no surprise to many, Heyman, staying in character, boasted about his managerial prowess. He even went as far as to insult legendary wrestling managers, Jimmy Hart and Bobby Heenan, claiming he was the best the industry has ever seen.

Hart’s Respectful Response

Though some might have expected an angry retaliation from Hart, the legendary manager chose to take the higher road. Unfazed by Heyman’s remarks, Jimmy Hart showed deep admiration for what Heyman has brought to the world of pro wrestling.

Speaking about Heyman’s comments, Hart said, “Everyone has their own perspective. I respect Heyman for what he’s done in this business. We all have our unique ways, and he’s certainly carved out his.”

Would Hart Ever Manage The Tribal Chief?

The burning question that has been on everyone’s minds was finally addressed when Jimmy Hart appeared on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast. The question of whether he would consider managing Roman Reigns was posed to the veteran manager.

In response, Hart candidly expressed that while he has immense respect for Reigns and his craft, he believes his high-energy managerial style might not gel well with Reign’s persona. Describing the nature of his character, Hart mentioned, “First of all, he [Roman Reigns] does a great job, and Paul [Heyman] fits him so greatly, Paul fits him to a T. I think my character’s a little bit too over-the-top for that because I’m more like, ‘Whoa! Hey baby! How you doing!?’ That’s always been my thing.”

The Perfect Pair

Hart was quick to acknowledge the chemistry between Reigns and Heyman, pointing out that their partnership on screen is something special. They possess a dynamic that is hard to replicate. “Up-tempo, never kind of laid back, and I just kind of think Roman does such a great job along with Paul together, and they really fit good together,” Hart added.

As things stand, the partnership between Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman remains rock-solid. While fans are always eager to see new alliances and changes, the sheer magnetism between Reigns and Heyman is hard to deny.

However, it’s worth noting the class with which Jimmy Hart handles such situations, always showing respect and understanding for his peers. While a pairing between Reigns and Hart may remain a figment of fans’ imaginations, it’s undeniable that both managers have left, and continue to leave, indelible marks on the world of professional wrestling.
