LA Knight Says ‘He Is Ready For Gold’, Coming For Roman Reigns And Others

2 years ago By Jhon Woug

Hagerstown, September 16th During the latest episode of SmackDown, LA Knight faced off against The Miz once more, but this time he didn’t allow The Miz any room to dispute his loss. In a Payback rematch, LA Knight emerged victorious over The Miz yet again.

Following the match, Knight seized the microphone and engaged with the audience regarding his future aspirations. He kicked off his promo by expressing his ambition to attain championship gold. He went on to mention that he had been exploring various possibilities, whether it involved confronting Rey Mysterio, Gunther, Seth Rollins, or Roman Reigns. He underscored that it’s not merely a catchphrase but a genuine belief that he ranks among the top two and refuses to settle for anything less than being the best.

As LA Knight’s storyline with The Miz seemingly comes to a conclusion, it appears that this might be the moment when he receives the most significant push of his wrestling career. Reports have indicated WWE’s intention to provide LA Knight with substantial momentum, driven by the notable increase in ratings during his segments and robust merchandise sales. It’s worth noting that while Knight’s win-loss record may not be exceptionally high, his popularity among fans continues to steadily climb.

Knight made his debut on the main roster in 2022 and has swiftly risen to become one of the league’s premier stars. There were earlier reports suggesting that WWE might have delayed LA Knight’s push until he signed a new contract, despite having more than a year remaining on his existing one. His new WWE agreement is anticipated to extend for an additional five years.

“It damn sure doesn’t matter if it’s Roman Reigns.”

@RealLAKnight just sent a warning to every champion on the roster.”

Currently, LA Knight stands as one of the most well-received WWE superstars on the roster, and for those seeking concrete evidence of his surging popularity, the most recent data from Payback serves as a testament.

Knight’s ascent to prominence gained traction when he engaged in a feud with Bray Wyatt earlier this year. Initially, there was some hesitancy on WWE’s part to push him to the forefront, but the tide began to turn at SummerSlam, where he secured a significant victory in the Slim Jim Battle Royal. Notably, he received an endorsement from none other than John Cena, who served as the special guest referee during Knight’s triumph over The Miz at Payback.

The former Impact World Champion also ranks among the top performers in terms of merchandise sales within the company. According to a report from Fightful Select, Knight’s merchandise sales at Payback were just shy of those of Cody Rhodes and John Cena.

The bulk of Knight’s merchandise sales predominantly originate from online platforms such as WWE Shop and Fanatics. However, due to his robust performance in live events, the company has expanded the availability of his merchandise within the arena during shows.

According to information from WrestleVotes, LA Knight has been identified as the primary fan-favourite (babyface) figure on SmackDown. This development suggests the likelihood of Knight receiving continued support and promotion as we approach the Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble.
